For Hooper City residents only-- please join us for a BBQ dinner in the park! Come connect with your neighbors and friends over a delicious meal. $3 donation appreciated. A fire truck will be there to cool off the kids with a spray! 

Horse Show

6:00 PM Monday August 25​ at the Rodeo Arena

Registration for the horse show is same day from 3:30 - 5:00 PM. Spectators are welcome!

Golf Tournament

8 AM Friday August 29, 2025 at Crane Field

This tournament is $280 per team and includes 18 holes with cart, continental breakfast, warmup range balls, swag bag, snacks, on-course contests, and lunch afterwards!


There are separate team divisions for Men and Co-ed Couples and prize winnings for the top 3 teams in each division. Public welcome! Space is limited so first come, first serve. Online registration is required. â€‹â€‹â€‹

5K Tomato Chase

8:30 AM Saturday August 30 at the Southeast Side of Hooper Park

 

The annual Hooper Tomato Days 5k run/walk and Free Kids K will take place on Saturday, August 30th at 8:30 a.m. on the quiet country roads and trails in Hooper, Utah. Stick around after the race and enjoy family-friendly activities as part of Hooper Tomato Days.

Packet pick-up will be Friday, August 29th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Hooper Park and Packet Pickup ONLY on August 30th starting at 7:00am to 8:00am. at the Hooper Park. If possible please check-in Friday, August 29th.

Car Show

10:00 AM - 2:30 PM Saturday August 30 at the Hooper Park

 

This Event is an open show with no categories or classes.  Come join us for some fun!  To register, email form below to communityevents@hoopercity.com.  Awards will be given to Mayor's Choice, Weber County Sheriff's Choice, Weber County Fire District Choice, Tomato Days Rodeo Queen and Royalty's Choice, and the Rotten Tomato! 

Cherry Tomato Baby Show

10:00 AM Saturday August 30 at the Cultural Hall (White Building South of Hooper Park)

Registration for the event will be day of only. Babies must be registered prior to the beginning of their age group. 

Entry Fee: $5.00

 

Age Group Categories: 

0-6 months -- Jr. Princess & Jr. Prince 

7-12 months --   Princess &  Prince 

13-24 months -- Jr. Queen & Jr. King

25-35 months -- Queen and King

There are no dress requirements, but hair bows/hair accessories are allowed. NO Props or Make-up! 

PRIZES will be awarded to all winners in each category.  In each category, prizes will be awarded to babies in the following areas: Best Hair, Brightest Eyes, Bubbliest Personality, Biggest Smile, and more.

All Cherry Tomato Princesses, Princes, Queens and Kings are invited to ride in the parade which will be held on Monday, September 1st at 9:00 AM.

Miss Pink Tomato

Registration for the event will be day of only. Please be at the Cultural Hall at 12:00 PM for registration. The show will start at 1:00 PM.

Judged in Swimsuits. No hair bows, accessories, props, or make-up allowed.

A Queen will be crowned in each age group. With a Royal Court of Two Princesses in each age group.

Home Arts and Produce Exhibit Entry

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM Saturday August 30 at the Cultural Hall (White Building South of Hooper Park)

General Rules: 

  1. Entries accepted Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM at the Cultural Hall

  2. Judging will take place at 5:30 PM Saturday

  3. All exhibits must be completed within the last year & be the exhibitor's work.

  4. Only 1 entry per category will be judged, and ribbons must stay with exhibit.

  5. Additional entries will be for display only and will not be judged.

  6. Exhibits must stay until Monday and can be picked up between 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
    Payment for ribbons will be paid at that time. 
    Any items not picked up can be picked up at the Hooper City Office Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 5:00 PM

  7. Entries will be judged according to workmanship.

Produce Specific Rules: 

  1. Entries must be grown by the exhibitor.

  2. All produce should be firm, market maturity, clean, fresh and exhibited in an attractive way.  Should be free from soil, fibrous roots and tops removed.

  3. "Largest Specimen" entry can not be used in other classes.

  4. Only one entry per category per exhibitor

  5. Pickup and payment for ribbons will be on Monday from 3:00 - 4:00 PM.  Produce left after that hour will be discarded.

Tomato Days Firework Show

Approximately 9:30 PM Saturday August 30 at the Hooper Park

 

The firework show will start at approx. 9:30 PM (after the live concert is over and it is dark) at the Hooper Park. Bring your camp chairs and blankets!

Parade

9:00 AM Monday September 1

​

Check-in and line-up: Starts at 7:00 AM Please check in at the Hooper Civic Center: 5580 West 4600 South. All entries must be checked in by 8:00 AM

  • Each entry will receive two laminated numbers which you need to attach to each side of your entry. Please bring your own supplies for attaching the numbers (i.e. tape, safety pins, magnets).

  • Equestrian Units--after receiving your parade number, you will be directed to line up on 5100 South, starting at the southwest corner of 5100 South and 5900 West and lining up west from there. There will be two areas for parking horse trailers--one in the field on the west of 5900 West (volunteers will direct you) and the other one south of Hooper Park at contestant parking for parents who are needing to pick up their children who are riding horses in the parade.

  • All other parade entries (non-equestrian)--after checking in, you will head west on 4600 South where volunteers will direct you where to line-up along 5900 West.

Parade Start Time: 9:00 AM

 

Parade Route:  Parade starts at the intersection of 5100 South and 5900 West. Parade travels south along 5900 West to the corner of 5500 South. From there it turns west and travels along 5500 South until the end of the parade at 6300 West. 

 

End of the Parade Instructions: Equestrian units will be directed south along 6300 West and all other entries will be directed north along 6300 West. Parents and others who are needing to pick up parade participants (non-equestrian) can plan to pick them up near the Hooper City Cemetery at 5290 South 6300 West. 

​

Other Information:

  • Please remember to include a brief description of your entry on the entry form for the parade announcers to read. They only have time to read a few sentences before they need to read the description for the next entry, so please keep your description brief. We reserve the right to edit entry descriptions for length.

  • Candy, small toys, advertising merchandise, etc. is allowed and ENCOURAGED to be thrown safely to the audience.

Tractor Show

4x4 Volleyball Tournament

11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday September 1 at the Hooper Park

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the Tomato Days Old Fashion Volleyball Tournament. And the best part is that it is FREE.

• Recreational or Open Brackets will be available.

• Teams will consist of 4 persons and will play a minimum of 5 games.

• Games will start at 11:00 AM and end by 3:00 PM.

• Each Team will play other 3 teams in their Pool Play division.

• After Pool Play, all team will move to Tournament Play for a chance to be named as Hooper’s Best Volleyball Team!

Dog Race

11:00 AM Monday September 1 at the Rodeo Arena

Join us for one of Hooper's very most loved Tomato Days event-- the Dog Races! Enter your own dog or cheer for your neighbor's in this hilarious competition!

Registration for the races will be day of only. Come to the arena gate to register.

Cow Drop

11:30 AM (or immediately following the dog race) Monday September 1 at the Rodeo Arena

How It Works: 

  • Purchase any available square(s) on the grid for $5.00

  • The squares are approximately 5 1/2 feet square each

  • Immediately after the dog race a happy, well-fed cow will be let out into the area and... you guessed it!

  • Whoever purchased the winning square, wins the prize!

  • You don't have to be present to win.

  • Squares on sale now at the Hooper Civic Center & will be on sale at the info booth at the park on Friday August 30th and Monday September 1st before the event starts

  • The winning prize will be 25% of the entry fees with a maximum of $500!

Mutton Bustin' and Calf Riding

2:00 PM Monday September 1, 2025 at the Rodeo Arena​

The top five (5) mutton bustin' scores and top three (3) calf riding scores per age group will compete in the Rodeo at 7:00 PM later that evening.  The contestant and one parent will be given a complimentary ticket to the rodeo.  A belt buckle will be given to first place.

4D Barrel Race 

Thursday August 28, 2025​ at the Rodeo Arena

Paper Entries need to be received by Hooper City offices or emailed to hooper4dbarrelrace@gmail.com by August 23th to be in the draw. It's going to be a fun day at a pretty arena with shade, trees, grass, and a playground. Concessions will be available! Please make sure to read all the rules and sign the attached waiver. Fees must be paid in cash and no refunds will be be made for any reason. 

Stick Horse Barrels

Stick horse barrels are for children 5 years and younger. Preregistration for this event opens August 7, 2025 at 9:30 AM. The top five contestants will compete in the Rodeo at 7:00 PM, later that evening.  The contestant and one parent will be given a complimentary ticket to the rodeo.
